Road to Yalta Festival

This year, the international music festival is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Its peculiarity is that singers from 15 countries of the world will perform popular Soviet songs of war time in their native languages, and in a duet with the stars of the national stage. All the contestants performed brilliantly in the semifinals of the festival in May, and now they will compete for the main prize.
The talented youth will be examined by, in particular, the Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica, the songwriters Denis Maidanov and Kai Metov. The chairman of the jury will be People’s Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko
Sunny Island Festival
When: September 1-6
Where: Eupatoria, Yalta, Simferopol
During all days of the festival of cinema for children and families there will be films, creative meetings with famous figures of culture and arts, master classes in animation and acting, literary lounges. Open-air cinemas will be available.
Tavrida-ART Festival
When: September 2-6
Where: Sudak, Kapsel Bay
2,000 young workers of culture and arts − residents of the Tavrida art cluster and representatives of creative communities will take part in the festival. They will take part in the filming of the Tavrida Inspires show-concert and in a large-scale art performances, among which there will be the ‘We Are Together’ art procession with lights.

7th Crimean military historical festival
When: September 4-6
Where: Sevastopol, Fedyukhin Heights
This year the event time is matched with the opening of the Fedyukhiny Vysoty Live History Park and will traditionally bring together history buffs and reenactors from different regions of Russia.
Also, there will be locations "Crimean (Eastern) War", "Great Patriotic War", "Cold War" and "War in Afghanistan". Young guests will be offered to visit a medieval university and go through an archaeological quest.
Golden Knight Festival
When: September 6-15
Where: Sevastopol
The 29th International Film Forum will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and will present more than 200 competitive and non-competitive feature, documentary, animation, student, debut and children's films from 21 countries of the world.
High Diving World Cup
When: September 12 at 02:00 p.m.
Where: Yalta, promenade
The World Cup in diving from extreme heights will be held in Crimea for the fourth time. The most outstanding sportsmen and judges from Russia, Belarus, Great Britain, Spain, Colombia, Luxembourg, Mexico, Romania, USA, Ukraine and France plan to take part in the competition.
Russian Troy Festival
When: September 12-13
Where: Sevastopol, Malakhov Kurgan
The festival will reconstruct episodes of the Crimean War of 1853-1856. The camps of the Russian army and their adversary troops will be deployed there.
Balloon Festival
When: September 18-20
Where: Byelogorsk, White Rock
Guests of the event will be able not only to admire the balloons (about 15 of them are planned to participate) and appreciate the skill of the pilots, but also to go up into the sky themselves. Flights will take place early in the morning from 06:00 to 09:00 a.m., but if the weather permits, the organizers say, evening flights will also be possible.
At the same time, guests will be able to enjoy excursions on the rock, horseback riding, jeeping and much more. Flights should be booked in advance, all necessary information can be found on the event website here.
Shield of Kafa Festival
When: September 19-20
Where: Koktebel
This is the tournament-festival in which more than 50 representatives of military-historical clubs from different regions of the Russian Federation will take part.They will reconstruct the era of the 13-15th centuries. The program includes fights of knights in historical fencing in light, middle and heavy weight, women’s fights, buhurts (battles of knight groups), contests of historical costumes and armor.
7th Sevastopol Officer Ball
When: September 27
Where: Sevastopol, Mikhailovskaya coastal battery square
This year the event will be under the sign of two anniversaries − the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 180th anniversary of the birth of the Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky, whose music will be the leitmotif of the music part of the event, performed by the Crimean State Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Every year the organizers prepare new arrangements and new dance steps, as well as many surprises. Traditionally, the event will host the world’s only Military Ballroom Parade − a solemn ceremony in the style of ballroom dancing − welcoming the military and civil society.
