According to the aggregated data of the operators, taking into account the number of tours sold with cashback, the top 3 destinations were Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Caucasian Mineral Waters".
Apart from the leading top 3, there also were many tours sold of St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Kaliningrad, Altai Territory. A number of tour operators included tours to Lake Baikal in the top 5.
According to the tour operators participating in the campaign of Rostourism and the MIR payment system to provide cashback, the demand for tours in Russia has increased. So, by the figures of the national tour operator, in comparison with the same period in 2019, interest in travel around the Russian Federation increased by 73%. Other companies cited growth within 45%. At the same time, market participants associate it not only with the effect of closed borders, but also with the fact that people really wanted to take part in the promotion campaign and purchase tours in Russia precisely for the period of the promotion with cashback.
The average price of purchased tours with cashback fluctuates around 50-57 thousand rubles ($ 670-760).
