In the season 2020 tourists arrive in Crimea by all means of transport, but most prefer to drive their own car. This was announced during the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers by the Head of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko.

"It is expected that only in July 1.5 million guests will spend their vacations in Crimea. During the first ten days, more than 400 thousand tourists came to the peninsula, of which 37% arrived by air, 58% by cars and buses over the Crimean Bridge. In general, 94 thousand vehicles arrived in the Republic since July 1, including 84 thousand passenger cars and about 500 buses. Another 4.7% arrive by rail", — the Minister said.
The logistics capabilities of the region continue to grow, added the Minister. For example, today 115 flights arrive at Simferopol International Airport, it exceeds the figures of the same day last year. And due to the opening of new routes, the route network of the air hub is increasing − planes fly already to 56 cities. And the price of the tickets reduced in comparison with last summer.

"The price of air travel shows a decrease by 15-25% compared to 2019, and it in general contributes to better sales of tourism products in the country and allows tour operators to make offers from 23 to 36 thousand rubles ($ 330-515) for two tourists for a week stay with full board, which is more than a pleasant offer", — said Vadim Volchenko.
As for the railway traffic, about 50 trains arrive every week after the launch of all routes, the Head of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism added. Regular schedules are established for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kislovodsk, Yekaterinburg and other cities. Most guests traditionally go to the peninsula for a beach holiday.
"This year 450 beaches were declared ready to work by the municipalities. All preparatory works, renovations and underwater surveys of the bottom were carried out at all of them. Almost all the beaches have standard information boards, which contain information about the beach administration, telephone numbers of the hotline, and also the phone numbers of the administration officials responsible for this", — Vadim Volchenko summed up.
As it was already reported, certificates of the Crimean beaches lifeguard service were prolonged, so those who took training last year, can start work without re-training (if they have a valid health certificate and a relevant professional certificate). This measure of support for the tourism industry was taken on the initiative of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea. Earlier, the validity of beach passports was prolonged till the end of this year.
