"Our main task is, taking into consideration all the risks and doing everything to exclude the possibility of returning to quarantine measures, to try to gradually launch the tourist industry when it becomes possible from the point of view of the epidemiological situation. We are closely watching our neighboring regions, we hope that they will succeed in doing this in the near future, and this will be a good signal for all. But I emphasize that for us the safety of those who live in Crimea and our guests is the highest priority", — said the Minister.

"In difficult situations it is usual to join efforts and today we need to understand this as never before. In Crimea tourism is the core industry with 50 related sectors. Tourism makes at least 25-30% of the region’s gross income. It is a driving industry. We understand that it is extremely important to launch the tourist complex of the region and to do this in stages, so that not to fall back into quarantine measures again. We need strict compliance with all sanitary rules, which, in our opinion, also require adjustment. And now this work is ongoing − the Minister emphasized − I think that if we start the holiday season and we do everything correctly, it will end neither in August nor in September. Because the demand for sun, sea, mountains and clean air throughout the country is enormous".
