Nearly 200 thousand tourists spent their vacations on the peninsula during the last winter holidays. This time much more tourists are expected to come, and above all, this will be facilitated by the launch of the railway traffic over the Crimean Bridge, noted Vadim Volchenko, the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Crimea Republic, during a working meeting with the head of the Yalta administration Ivan Imgrunt.

"Last winter holidays about 200 thousand tourists stayed in Crimea. This time, taking into account the launch of the railway traffic, we hope that there will be much more tourists. As for air travel, the ticket price now averages 11,000 rubles ($170). Traditionally, the South Coast of Crimea is considered by Russians the leader among popular destinations for New Year's Eve celebrations. Today already 90% of big hotels in Yalta that are preparing large holiday programs for their guests, are booked", — said Vadim Volchenko.
Yalta, which will not only "boost" its aesthetic appearance thanks to the new illumination, but will also hold a variety of events for every taste, will become the New Year’s event capital of Crimea.
"We studied the experience of large Russian cities in terms of decorating the city and holding festive events. There will be a lot of illumination, lighting constructions. Every day on the waterfront − this will be the main place of celebration − interesting events for the family entertainment will be held. We plan gastronomic zones and a wine festival, theatrical performances, a Christmas market, animated shows, and discotheques with Santa Claus. Events for children and youth will also be present, so that no one would be bored. We promise a very merry and eventful program", — Ivan Imgrunt told reporters.
Thus, on the city waterfront there will appear illuminated voluminous balls, garlands and "light corridors". Festive illumination will decorate the Kirov, Moscow, Kiev, Karl Marx and Roosevelt streets, as well as Grafskiy passage and Yubileinaya square. Pushkin Boulevard will also be decorated. There, in particular, illuminated animal figures will be installed.

Festive events will start on December 19 with the grand opening of the main 18-meter Christmas tree on the waterfront (there will be three Christmas trees in Yalta, the other two − 8 meters high − will be installed on Sovetskaya Square and in the Seaside Park).
The most striking and large-scale event will be the tenth anniversary Moroz-Parade, which will be held on December 28. Guests will enjoy a solemn procession, a flash mob, a round dance of New Year's magicians, a show of giants and a concert.
From December 28 on the waterfront of the city there will be a reception of Santa Claus for children and Children's New Year Town.
