The new schedule will be valid from March 27 to October 29. Ticket sales for this period have already been opened by 12 airlines, the press service said. Air harbor specialists expect a sharp expansion of the route network in late May − early June.
"Simferopol Airport together with the airlines entered the active phase of the formation of the spring-summer flight schedule. Two months before the transition to the new schedule, the number of announced destinations has already reached fifty, which is more than it was in the same period last year. The summer route network of the airport will continue to expand, which will greatly simplify travel around the country for residents of Crimea, and improve the accessibility of the peninsula for guests from other regions of Russia," said Sergey Dyaikin, commercial director of Simferopol International Airport LLC.
Most summer flights are planned from/to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Among the leaders in terms of flight frequency are also Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kazan and Tyumen. The most distant city from the capital of Crimea in the route network of Simferopol airport is Irkutsk (about 5 thousand km), and the nearest one is Krasnodar (about 400 km).
We remind you that at the end of 2021, the airport served the all-time maximum of passengers − 6.83 million people.
