The Tauric Chersonesos Museum and Preserve presented the Chersonesos AR mobile application based on augmented reality technologies with an interactive navigation map.
According to the press service of the museum, this is a unique project that combines modern technologies with the results of archaeological and historical research by the Chersonese staff.
Thus, visitors can download the application to their smartphone or tablet and see a collection of 3D models with unique monuments of the ancient city, such as the Basilica of 1935, the Antique Theatre, the Uvarov Basilica, the Mint, the Temple on the Vaults and others.
"The Chersonesos AR mobile application can be used together with the new Live 3D Magnet souvenir product. To see the 3D miniature models that from different angles by rotating and turning the magnet, just point the camera at them," the staff members explained.
The Chersonesos AR mobile application can be downloaded to a smartphone or tablet for free by clicking on the links for Google Play or for the Apple Store.
