According to the press service of the Museum, it will be possible to learn at the exhibition about the results of scientific research carried out by of Museum staff, Sevastopol State University and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Black and Mediterranean Seas. Guests will get acquainted with the unique artifacts that archaeologists have found off the coast of Crimea and Abkhazia, as well as in the waters of Syria.

"Visitors of the new temporary exhibition will be told about the history of studying the unique medieval ships that sank near Balaklava during the Byzantine Empire, in the 11th-12th centuries. They will also be able to learn about the results of a study of the fortifications of Chersonese in the Karantinnaya Bay and about the work of the international Syrian-Russian expedition off the coast of the legendary Phoenician island of Arvad and the city of Tartus in the Syrian Arab Republic," the press service noted.

The material will be demonstrated as video presentations. They will make it possible to demonstrate in a multimedia format three-dimensional models of the objects of underwater archeology under study, as well as photographs documenting the research process. The exposition is complemented by authentic items raised from the seabed during the expeditions.
