History revived: tourists invited to unusual excursions round Sevastopol

A new season of an unusual performance-excursion in the open air has started in Sevastopol. It is organized by The World is Beautiful tour operator in the form of an immersive tour theater under the same name "The World is Beautiful".
Those wishing to have a tour of the Hero-city in a new form are offered the "Through the Ages. For descendants as an example" project.
This season, participants of the performance-excursion are offered an updated route and script, new characters and cast. And even the name of it was updated − "Through the centuries. For descendants as an example". By the way, this is the first performance-excursion from the 'City of Heroes. Sevastopol' series. And this project was nominated the "Discovery of the Year" by the city Government.
The tour starts on Matrossky Boulevard, not far from the monument to the brig Mercury and its captain Alexander Kazársky. The words "For descendants as an example" engraved on the monument formed the basic idea of the project. During the tour, the participants visit iconic landmarks and monuments of the historical part of Sevastopol. And they are accompanied by the impersonators of the historical figures: Empress Catherine II and her faithful friend and confident prince Grigóriy Potyómkin, general Alexander Suvórov and naval commander Mikhail Lázarev, Princess Anna, Prince Vladímir the Baptist of Ancient Russia. Their characters and images are especially interestingly exposed.
The roles of historical characters are played by professional actors of Sevastopol theaters and young talents from local theater studios. The director of the performance is Honored Actor of Russia Olga Pankrátova.
In April, nine premiere performances of the excursion performance have already been held. It will also be possible to visit it in May and June − the history will "revive" every weekend.
By the way, it is planned that the premieres of performances-excursions will also take place in Simferopol, Eupatoria, Theodosia and Yalta. In these cities local directors and actors will be involved. The project is being implemented with the assistance of the Ministry of Resorts of Crimea and the administrations of these cities.
