On March 27, Inkerman will host the "Martynovskiy ravine − the front line of heroes" military and historical festival. The guests will see a reconstruction of the Chapayev 25th Red Banner and Order of Lenin Rifle Division parade, which was held here on March 24, 1942. This was reported by the press service of the Sevastopol Defense Museum.
The event will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the parade.
"In the entire history of the Great Patriotic War, this parade was the only one that took place in close proximity to the front edge of the battle area. The riflemen of the legendary division returned to the front line and attacked the enemy straight from the parade," the press service noted.
An episode of hostilities will be shown to visitors. It will be reconstructed by members of military historical clubs. And there will be museum exhibitions, war time front-line songs, field cooking trail kitchen and retro photography studio.
