Most of the flights during the winter holidays are planned on the Moscow — Sochi route. The share of this route has grown in two years from 4.7% to 5.9%. The average price is now 16% lower than before the pandemic: it decreased from 13,970 to 11,754 rubles (about $ 190-161) for a round-trip flight.
The third popular place is Kaliningrad. The Moscow — Kaliningrad round trip flight is an average of 9,877 (about $ 135). The number of tourists is 5% less than before the pandemic.
"Online sales have already returned to the pre-crisis level, as the customers switched from buying flight ticket offline to online services. People are more likely to buy tickets online, especially from major agencies or airline websites. The recovery in demand was also facilitated by the fact that people, who work remotely, began to travel more often and choose to do their remote work not at home, travel to change the environment, to visit relatives. There are more trips to non-"classic" tourist destinations. So, in general, we have already reached the pre-crisis level, not only in terms of New Year's sales," noted Olga Yepikhina, head of Tutu.ru's Airline tickets.
