S. Aksyonov said that about 2,500 participants from 96 countries are expected to attend the Forum.
"We are actively working on preparations for the 6th Yalta International Economic Forum. Let me remind you that last year we had to postpone it due to the coronavirus pandemic. So, it was decided to limit the number of participants in order to work out the Forum Program as efficiently as possible for those who attend it. Approximately 2,500 participants are expected to come this year. Nevertheless, the number of foreign delegations to be present personally at YIEF can be increased," the head of the RK said.
In addition, within the framework of the Forum, the annual wine and gastronomy festival #Novemberfest will take place at the section on viticulture and winemaking, Aksyonov specified.
In turn, Andrey Nazarov, Deputy Chairman of the YIEF Organizing Committee, noted that the Yalta Forum will continue to set trends in international politics, and its participants will try to look "beyond the horizon of the future" to ensure sustainable development of Russia.
"Investments are the main source of economic growth. However, the last year experience, when the world faced the coronavirus pandemic, made us look much broader at the existing mechanisms for the development of economic potential. ‘The Day After Tomorrow’ – this is the name of the topic which is the 6th YIEF main message and will be cross-cutting in the entire business program," Andrei Nazarov added.
It is noted that this year the forum is planning to hold 49 business events in five areas: New infrastructure policy of Russia; Investment strategy of the regions; Crimean development priorities; International partnership; Technology and Digitalization − tools for success. And within the framework of the cultural program, the celebration of the Day of National Unity and the solemn presentation of the ‘Women of Russia’ award will take place.
We remind you that the Yalta International Economic Forum will be held from 4 to 6 November 2021 in Yalta. It will be timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation.
The Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF) is an annual business event in the economic sphere held in Crimea. Along with the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Eastern Economic Forum and the Sochi Investment Forum, YIEF is one of the four largest Russian economic forums. It is organized by the government of the Republic of Crimea, the Yalta International Economic Forum Foundation, with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
YIEF has secured the status of an effective international platform for discussions on social and economic development, where the current agenda and current challenges facing the world economy are discussed.
