Thus, the opera part of the program will feature popular arias from operas by Verdi, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Gounod, Puccini, Leoncavallo and Borodin. The leading soloists of the troupe will sing for residents and guests of Crimea.
In the ballet part, viewers will see Alexei Ratmansky's production of Concerto DSCH to the music of Dmitry Shostakovich's Second Piano Concerto. Especially for this, an open-air stage will be installed that meets all technical requirements. At the same time, all precautions for the preservation of the archaeological values of Chersonesos will be ensured.
"The Chersonesos festival is a hallmark event not only for Russian, but also for foreign guests. The program attracts guests with its unique content and extraordinary combination of place and action − the ancient city of Chersonesos, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and great works performed in the open air by the stars of the Russian and world opera and ballet stages," the museum spokespersons emphasized.
