Simferopol International Airport served 1,003,357 passengers in June, which is 45% more than in June of pre-covid 2019, and five times more than in June 2020.
According to the press service of the air hub, traffic reached its maximum for the first month of summer for the entire time of operation. Previously, the airport received and dispatched more than 1 million passengers only in August 2020.
The daily passenger traffic last month reached its peak on June 26, when more than 41 thousand people were served. On June 19, 268 regular flights were received and dispatched, which became a new historical maximum of the Crimean air harbor daily traffic.
"The most popular destinations for flights at the Simferopol airport last June were Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Novosibirsk. According to the results of the month, Aeroflot became the leader in terms of the number of passengers transported to and out of Crimea. In total, in June, the air harbor served more than 7 thousand regular arriving and departing passenger flights", the press service noted.
We remind you that in the second decade of June Simferopol Airport served the two millionth passenger since the beginning of the year, which also became a record, because in previous years this figure was reached only at the beginning of July.
This summer, 15 airlines operate flights to and from Simferopol. The route network reached a record 63 destinations.
