Situation in Crimea: actual information for tourists
South Coast view
As reported, last week a part of Crimea, including Geater Yalta and Kerch, was flooded due to heavy downfalls. After that, it was forbidden to bathe on the Yalta and Kerch shores. The ban will remain in force until the water quality indicators return to normal. This issue is controlled by the Crimean department of Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Consumer Protection Authority). It monitors sea water for the presence of Vibrio cholerae. From 28 June, beach administrators will start checking the quality of sea water independently and, depending on the results of the tests, make decisions about opening the beaches for bathing.
