Like the trimmed lavender fields with small photo zones and view points in the Italian region of Umbria, the Australian state of Tasmania, the county of Somerset in the UK and, of course, in French Provence. In summer, during the lavender bloom, these places become the center of a real pilgrimage for tourists. There are such "purple" fields in Crimea − every year they attract more and more fans of vivid photo sessions. And this year the farmers decided to adapt the territory of the most popular field in Turgenevka for tourists, make a paid entrance and create the necessary infrastructure.

So, from June 21, a visit to the territory of the lavender park will cost 300 rubles ($ 4). This will allow not only to develop the territory for guests, but also to organize the increased tourist flow and prevent the recent cases of destruction of the property of the agricultural firm, which has become more frequent, the head of the Turgenevskaya agricultural firm Aleksey Mishin told the Crimea Travel Portal.

"We made this decision for two reasons. Firstly, the tourist flow has become recently chaotic and uncontrollable, people trampled down plants, left litter behind them, our plantings were seriously damaged, while it was very difficult and very expensive to create all this. At the end of May and the beginning of June this year, we recorded cases of damage to lavender, and now we are forced to protect the fields and strengthen security," Mishin says. “And secondly, we want to become better and create high-quality infrastructure on the territory, which will allow professional tour operators to bring tourists to the place where conditions are good.”

And work in this direction is already underway. For the convenience of visitors, toilets are installed on the territory, a parking lot is being prepared for vehicles and tourist buses, since driving in the fields is strictly prohibited. Safety of the fields will be monitored by the security staff. Thus, fans of photo shoots and walks through fragrant plantations will have the opportunity to be in flowering fields and at the same time not disrupt the agricultural cycle of lavender growing, harvesting and processing.

The money that our guests will pay for admission will be used for development, improvement and covering our own expenditures," the head of the agricultural firm said.
