"Passenger traffic is 1.4% higher than in the same period in 2019 and 10% higher than in 2020. Since the beginning of the year, more than 4 thousand regular flights have been received and dispatched. The peak of passenger traffic during this period was recorded on March 28, when 11,730 people were served," the airport reported.
In the first months of this year, flights to Crimea were performed by 13 airlines to 16 destinations. The most popular flight routes are traditionally Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don and Kazan. In the summer season the route network of flights from Simferopol airport will grow to 56 destinations.
As reported, on March 28 Simferopol International Airport switched to the spring-summer flight schedule. Ticket sales for direct flights to Crimea and back from Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Belgorod, Krasnodar, Volgograd, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk and other cities are open.
