"Ten million cars, including 130,000 buses and 1,300,000 million trucks, went across the Crimean Bridge since the start of car traffic in 2018. The traffic flow to the Republic of Crimea exceeded the Krasnodar direction by 9% and amounted to more than 5 million vehicles", — the Administration informed. 

In summer the average daily traffic volume has doubled compared to spring period − up to 21 thousand vehicles. Almost 280 thousand vehicles crossed the Kerch Strait in June. By the way, in the first month of summer the flow of vehicles to the Crimean peninsula exceeded the Taman direction by 18%.

"Since the beginning of July, over 150 thousand cars have come across the bridge to the peninsula, and more than 100 thousand have gone towards the mainland. In general, 550 thousand cars have crossed the Crimean Bridge during 45 days of summer, and since the beginning of this year − more than 1.5 million cars have used the automobile crossing of the Kerch Strait. The maximum daily traffic was recorded on July 12:  almost 25 thousand cars in the space 24 hours in both directions", — the press service reported.

And it also was added that during the summer holidays, the traffic flow over the Crimean Bridge increases. From the previous years’ experience, the highest traffic intensity occurs in the last month of summer. In 2019, a record breaking number of cars in both directions were fixed on August 12: 36 thousand vehicles per day.

Summer in Yalta
The traffic of the automobile side of the bridge goes in normal mode. More than 100 employees with 35 road maintenance machines are responsible for the smooth operation of the road. Automatic equipment is in operation to inform drivers about the situation and suggests what to do depending on weather conditions. In parallel, technical condition of the supports and spans of the bridge is monitored using special instruments and sensors. All operational information on the transport crossing is supplied to the Exploitation Control Center located on the Taman coast.
