"As a high readiness regime and a period of self-isolation were imposed in the territory of the Republic of Crimea, preparatory work was impossible and now we are pressed for time to open the beaches. So, on the part of the Government, we extended the validity term of the last year beach certificates, but all the necessary laboratory tests and bottom surveys must be carried out for security purposes", — said Kiviko.

According to her, the tourism industry of Crimea is ready for a phased launch of the holiday season. "In order to maintain a stable epidemiological situation, we undertook preventive measures: disinfection and social distance. The situation is controlled by epidemiologists and Rospotrebnadzor (the Russian Authority for Consumer Protection). So far, so good. We see that a number of requirements are already downgraded: this has already been done for hotels, while for the health resorts we still expect, so to say, equalization of requirements. In general, the dynamics are positive", — said Irina Kiviko, emphasizing that all participants of the tourism industry have returned to work and are optimistic.

In his turn, the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko said that the principles of social distance, to which everyone is gradually accustomed, will be applied to the beaches, as it is done for all public places. All these measures are aimed at maintaining the health of both tourists and Crimeans, and may be amended depending on the development of the epidemiological situation. "In order to minimize risks the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism has developed general principles for organizing work on the beaches in this season", — said Vadim Volchenko.

Let us remind: from June 15, health resort and hotel facilities on the peninsula will be able to accommodate Crimeans for vacations, and two weeks after that − from July 1 − residents of other regions of Russia will be able to come to hotels and health resorts. In addition, from June 15 all restrictions, such as self-isolation and observation for residents of Russia, have been lifted. Booking a vacation for Russians is already possible.
