All those who come from all regions of Russia and from abroad to the territory of Crimea will be placed in the observatory. This was announced by the Head of the Republic Sergey Aksyonov during the operational headquarters sitting on the issue of prevention the spread of coronavirus infection.
From May 1, admission to the territory of Crimea is allowed only upon presentation of a Crimean residence registration or ownership of private housing with mandatory self-isolation at the place of residence. According to the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko this is a necessary and forced measure to prevent the spread of infection and the speedy resumption of the tourism and other industries most affected by the pandemic.
"All our fellow citizens should understand that if you are going to Crimea, you have to spend two weeks of quarantine in the observatory. The need for this decision is dictated by the situation of the infection spreading. This is a necessary measure for Crimea, which should not only prevent an outbreak of the disease, but also allow us to hope for an early restoration of health resort and tourist activities. The measures of self-isolation, social distance and preventive measures of the Crimeans themselves and those visitors, who are already in Crimea, are very important", — the minister said.
In accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Decree of the Head of Crimea, Crimean accommodation facilities and the health improvement complex will not accept guests until June 1, except for business travelers. Compliance with these requirements is constantly monitored by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and municipalities. The regime of self-isolation of all those who arrived earlier on the territory of the Republic is strictly controlled by special groups of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
