So, from 00:00 on April 2, all citizens entering the region will be checked, said the Head of the Republic Sergei Aksyonov.
"In order to control the situation, a decision was made: from 00:00 the quarantine measures will be introduced. Since that time, a checkpoint will be set up on Crimean Bridge to conduct a 100% inspection of all automobile transport, and later the procedure for individuals will be published. We are repeating the toughest measures that the regions have taken in terms of screening trains, air transport and all persons arriving in the region", — Aksyonov said.
He specified that the full list of the quarantine measures and the list of requirements for coming people will be published during the day.
"These are Crimeans, citizens of the Russian Federation who have property here, and so on", — said the head of the region.
Similar security measures were introduced by a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including Sevastopol and Krasnodar Territory, neighboring with Crimea. A day before the quarantine was imposed in the Krasnodar Territory by the decision of the region’s governor Venamin Kondratiev, roadblocks were established at the entrances to the region, and traffic and pedestrian movement in the city was restricted. Also on Tuesday evening Acting Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev signed a decree on mandatory self-isolation, prohibiting citizens from leaving their place of residence from April 1 and on.
