Kerch is preparing to hold a big traditional "Strait cup" competition in windsurfing and kiteboarding at the end of August. A great yacht snow will become a special attraction of the competition.
Kerch is already actively preparing for the summer season, planning to surprise its guests with a variety of dynamic events. One of these will be the Strait Cup 2020 − windsurfing and kiteboarding competition with a long history, which every year attracts to the peninsula from all over Russia fans of waves, adrenaline and salty wind.

This year it will be on Arshintsevskaya Spit from August 21 to 28, and for the first time − with a prize fund of 180,000 rubles (a republican grant), the organizers informed. This amount will be used to purchase gifts for the winners. Each will be awarded in his/her category − Men, Women, Juniors, Veterans.
"We plan to hold the Strait Cup as championship of the Southern Federal District, as in the last year. We hope that there will be many participants − from 80 to 100, now we are already in receipt of many applications. In addition to the main competitions announced, we want to hold a great show: about 30 yachts from Crimea and Novorossiysk are expected to arrive. In the course of the event a host will comment on what is happening to keep the guests informed. In addition, every competition day will be filmed with photo and video equipment, and in the evenings right on the beach we will show with the projector and screen the most interesting shots and footage of the moments", the organizer of the competition, the USSR master of sports in sailing, the head of Sports Surfing Club NGO Dmitry Solovyov told the Travel Portal of the Republic of Crimea

According to him, at the same time from June 1, classes for those wishing to plunge into sailing romance will start on Arshintsevskaya Spit: if weather permits, adults are expected daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and children from 7 to 14 years old are welcome to take training for free from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All necessary equipment will be provided on the spot.
"Of course, to take part in competitions such as the Strait Cup, you need to take training at least 3-4 years. Our classes, which we are going to deliver at the beginning of the holiday season, are more for our pleasure, let's say, like riding a bicycle", — Dmitry Solovyov summed up.
