"Among foreign tourists, as in previous years, the leaders are the residents of Ukraine − about 1.1 million people. I think this can be considered a kind of popular vote of citizens of the neighboring country on the recognition of the Russian status of Crimea", — Aksyonov wrote.
About 20% of foreign tourists arrived from Belarus, 11% from Kazakhstan, 7% from Germany, 4% from Uzbekistan and Armenia, 3 and 2% respectively from Estonia and Azerbaijan. And during the past year guests from Sweden, Finland, China, the USA, Georgia, Latvia, Thailand, Spain and other countries visited us.

In connection with the growing interest in Crimea, the region’s authorities are focusing on the development of the health resort complex, in particular, the modernization of health improvement infrastructure.
"We must profitably and not to the detriment of the environment and in the interests of all Crimeans, sell the tourism potential of our peninsula. There are many countries and regions in the world that live and develop on revenues from tourism sector, correctly using their potential in this area. Tourists are attracted by developed infrastructure, high level of service and reasonable prices. This is what we are striving for", — Sergey Aksyonov concluded.
