In 2019, 7.43 million guests chose the peninsula for their escape. These were both Russians and tourists from near and far foreign countries. As in previous years, the majority of foreign guests were from Ukrainian, Sergei Aksyonov wrote on his Facebook page.

"Among foreign tourists, as in previous years, the leaders are the residents of Ukraine − about 1.1 million people. I think this can be considered a kind of popular vote of citizens of the neighboring country on the recognition of the Russian status of Crimea", — Aksyonov wrote.

About 20% of foreign tourists arrived from Belarus, 11% from Kazakhstan, 7% from Germany, 4% from Uzbekistan and Armenia, 3 and 2% respectively from Estonia and Azerbaijan. And during the past year guests from Sweden, Finland, China, the USA, Georgia, Latvia, Thailand, Spain and other countries visited us.
