The resort capital of Crimea is getting ready for the City Day full-on and glairing celebration. The main festive events will traditionally be held on the second Saturday of August − the 13th. This was reported in the press service of the Yalta administration.
So, one of the key locations of the holiday will be the central promenade. Here, in the area of berth No. 2, starting from 10:00 a.m., a children's and youth sailing regatta for the Cup of the Head of administration will be held. At this time, a brass band will meet the guests of the city at the bus station, and the 'Book to the Road' action will be organized to see the buses off.
The most interesting thing on the promenade will be in the evening. At 06:00 p.m., an immersive space with a variety of photo zones will be deployed, and the Russian Riviera concert program will begin. The highlight of the celebration will be the championship in watermelons eating and a master class in carving (the art of artistic carving on and out of vegetables and fruits). Until late in the evening, the show program 'Yalta is a Dream' will be held in the area of the round fountain, which will end up in colorful fireworks.
The main playground this year will be the Kalinin Public Garden with master classes, animation programs, interactive activities, which also start at 06:00 p.m. In addition, a photo exhibition of participants in the city photo cross will open in the public garden: from August 1 to 13, everyone may take pictures of the most picturesque, in their opinion, corners of Yalta, and expose the results directly on the City Day.
During the whole day it will be possible to visit the Yalta Historical and Literary Museum, the main building of which is located on Pushkinskaya Street, 5, and the open-air museum 'Glade of Fairy Tales' (Vinográdnoyeh, 28 Yauza St.), all free of charge.
But that is not all. On August 12 at 05:00 p.m. there will be a gala opening of the Avangard stadium (2a Biryukóv St.) with a parade of athletes, a performance by a youth team and a football match. And on August 14 at the Saturn cinema (4 Kiyev Street) will be the premiere show of 'Yalta. History in Faces' documentary film. Start − at 02:00 p.m.
