In the resort capital of Crimea, Yalta, preparations are already underway for the holiday. New Year's illumination is being installed on the promenade. Traditionally on the St. Nicholas Day − December 19 − it will be switched on. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.
At the same time, there will be no mass New Year's celebrations in Yalta due to the epidemic situation. On New Year's Eve fireworks are planned to be organized on the city promenade and in the suburbs. The TV broadcast of the holiday program will also be provided. There will also be a Christmas fair on the Yalta promenade.

From 5 to 10 January the Snow Queen musical will be shown at the Alupka House of Culture. It will be presented by the creative teams of the Yalta centralized club system. In addition, charitable performances of the Snow Queen and the Frog Princess performances will be staged for children from needy families at the Chekhov theater.
"Naturally, all events will be held with strict observance of protective measures to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection. Unfortunately, there will be no full-on New Year's festivities, long familiar to everyone," said Svetlana Novodatskaya, deputy head of the Yalta administration.
