Simferopol International Airport won the "Transport Security of Russia-2021" prestigious national award. It won a victory as the "Best Transport Infrastructure Unit or Air Transport Carrier that Complies with the Requirements in the Field of Transport Security".
According to the press service of the air hub, the award ceremony was held in Moscow within the framework of the "Formula of Transport Security. Law. Knowledge. Practice" scientific and practical conference. The air harbor took first place based on the expert council’s high marks.
"Airport employees are regularly trained and certified in aviation and transport security, showing off among the best results in the industry. The airport is provided with modern security equipment and technology. It was one of the first in Russia to create its own service dog unit that participates in inspection activities, and now it is among the best in the country," the press service informed.
The victory in this nomination for the Simferopol air hub is already the second: earlier it was recognized as the safest in Russia in 2019.
