The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko reminded of this on the air on Radio Crimea.
"These are additional forced security measures that are required now, and are quite effective if they are observed. By the way, over 70 task groups are monitoring compliance with restrictive measures in Crimea," the Head of the Ministry of Resorts noted.
According to him, the days off from October 30 to November 7 announced throughout the country are not vacations, but primarily they are needed to "break the chains of infection."
"It is very important at this time to limit your movements and contacts. And if we are still talking about some kind of repose, then it must be an individual repose. These days off are needed for the country to be able to break out of the epidemiological surge at which it is now. The most important thing is dissociation, mask mandate and, of course, vaccination. The higher the level of mass immunity, the sooner we will forget all this," Vadim Volchenko is convinced.
He also added that even before the week off was announced, the level of booking in the Crimean accommodation facilities was quite high. So, in hotels of the premium segment − 80%, in health resorts − about 62%, in the 4- and 3-star hotels − about 65%. And these figures have not changed significantly to date.
At the same time, recalling the ban on holding public events, the minister said that the Intourmarket International Tourism Forum in November this year will be held in the online format and will bring together leading industry speakers.
"Initially, 39 regions of Russia immediately responded and announced their participation in the event. In the current situation, we will restrict the forum to the online format, but all the leading industry’s speakers will take part in it. The Head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova supported the Forum. This is a very good story, and in the future we hope to develop relations with the regions already at the spring forum,” Vadim Volchenko concluded.
