The most popular destinations for the Simferopol Airport in August were Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Ufa.

5,018,153 passengers were served in eight months of 2021. This is 72% higher than the indicators of 2020 and 35% higher than in the pre-COVID 2019.

"Simferopol Airport has closed the season in the situation of the record passenger traffic. For the first time we served more than 1 million passengers in every summer month, which was a serious challenge for our team. The measures taken in advance made it possible to ensure uninterrupted transport accessibility of Crimea by air and to welcome everyone who wanted to relax on our peninsula," said Evgeny Plaksin, Director-General of Simferopol International Airport LLC.
