"Our project has moved away from the traditional format – a monotonous story of the guide. We turned the excursion into a live story, an audio performance. Our headphones create a three-dimensional sound effect, and listeners are absorbed in what is happening around them. Audio recordings turn into live scenery, they are filled with characters, and all events become not just echoes of the past, but reality, where you are not a spectator, but a direct participant," the organizers of the project told the Travel Portal.
Thus, residents and guests of the hero-city are offered two excursions: "The History of the Hero. Reboot" and "Voyenkor's (war correspondent’s) Notes. Sailor".
- "The Hero's Story. Reboot"
This is a 2-hour audio tour of the city center. The listeners travel in time together with the City and the Keeper of the Keys, recall the brightest moments in the history of Sevastopol, learn rare facts and receive a letter from France, hear a lullaby and look out for the great-great-great-grandchildren of the city's first military mail pigeons. And that's not all that awaits the guests.
The beginning of the excursion: every Saturday at 06:00 p.m.
Start: from the flower bed between the Sevastopol hotel and the back entrance of the A.V. Lunacharsky Theater. - "Voyenkor's Notes. Sailor"
The tour lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes. Listeners pass the Alley of Hero Cities and experience everything that happened in the distant 1941-45 years. Also, together with the War Correspondent and the City (voiced by the City’s Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Ukraine Vitaly Taganov), they take an unusual walk along the renovated Matrossky (sailor’s) Boulevard, attend an interactive lesson on ship modeling and much more.
Tour starts: every Friday at 06:30 p.m.
Start: from the Eternal Flame.
At the same time, as the organizers noted, individual excursions are possible on any day.
And in September it is planned to present the premiere of an immersive excursion with the intriguing title: "The Adventures of Odyssey".
