"Among the reasons why tourists choose to travel is one compelling one: to eat fresh fruits and berries. For many, this is an important and compulsory item on the summer-autumn vacation program. July and August are the most fruitful months," the ATOR noted.
According to the experts, residents of the North-West region, Moscow, Kamchatka, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and Buryatia are most attracted by natural vitamins in their travels. And, of course, most of all tourists yearn for fruits which do not grow in their native regions.
So, in Crimea, experts strongly advise to try local peaches, the season of which lasts from late July to September. Now, according to their data, the cost of a kilogram of peaches starts from 80 rubles (small, but sweet, about $ 1) to 200 rubles (perfect and beautiful, about $ 3).
Most of the peach orchards are on the western coast, in the Bakhchisaray region and in the Crimean steppe (Dzhankoy).
Besides, the ATOR rating includes blueberries from Central Russia, apples from the Tambov Region, grapes from Dagestan, tangerines, feijoa and persimmons from Abkhazia.
