The prize winners of the Road to Yalta Festival awarded in Crimea

In the resort capital of Crimea, the prize winners of the third Road to Yalta International Festival were awarded. The impressive event was followed by the correspondent of the Travel Portal.
The final of one of the country's largest festivals dedicated to the Great Victory took place on the Yalta embankment. It brought together on one stage the most outstanding and talented contestants from 15 countries, who passed the online qualifying audition, which ended up on March 1, and then showed up at the semifinals, which took place at the Chekhov Yalta Theater on April 29.
Together with foreign vocalists, famous war-time songs were performed by Russian pop stars: Ekaterina Guseva, Zara, Sergey Volchkov, Alexey Maklakov, Yaroslav Sumishevsky, Oleg Akkuratov, Yuta and others. Each song was performed in two languages – in Russian and in the native language of the contestant.
The performances were assessed by the jury, which included People's Artist of the Russian Federation Ilya Reznik, Honored Artists of the Russian Federation Denis Maidanov, Kai Metov, Zara, Italian singer and composer Enzo Ginazzi (Pupo), winners of the Road to Yalta-2020, Christelle Luri (France) and Thomas Grazioso (Italy), Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea Vadim Volchenko. The jury was headed by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Lev Leshchenko.
The first prize was awarded to a duet from Canada, Nancy Adejor and Frederic Afandiyev, who sang the song "For that Guy", as well as the vocalist from Italy Federico Martello, who sang "The Song of the Distant Homeland." In addition, the Canadians won the Audience's Choice Award: they received the largest number of votes on the festival's official website.
The second prize was unanimously shared by the jury between Sweden (duet Charlotte Landgren and Franco Gennaro, "Song of the Front Chauffeur"), Latvia (Janis Lemezis, "Ballad of a Soldier") and Portugal (Thiago Barbosa, "Mass Graves").
And the third prize was awarded to Shouning Wan from China (song "Three Tankmen") and Aashima Chkhabra from India ("Someone came down from the hill").
In addition, Trami Nguyen, an Asian vocalist from the United States, received a special prize.
The total prize fund of the festival was 5.5 million rubles. Also, all the contestants were presented with memorable gifts from the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea.
And the final spectacular chord of the festival was the performance of the "Victory Day" song by Lev Leshchenko and the festive fireworks.
The first Road to Yalta Festival took place in May 2019, the author of the project was a well-known journalist, author of the "Crimea. The Way to the Homeland" documentary Andrey Kondrashov.
