Cooperation provides for establishment and expansion of business contacts in the field of tourism, assistance in the development of cooperation between the tourism industry actors, mutual informing of residents of the regions about the cultural and historical potential, event tourism and events in the field of tourism.
"The agreement also provides for the creation of conditions for the effective use of the tourist potential of the Republic of Crimea and the Volgograd region and the development of tourist destinations, including cross-regional routes," said Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko.
In his turn Vladimir Popkov, the chairman of the Committee for the development of tourism of the Volgograd region, noted that Crimea is interesting for residents of Volgograd and the Volgograd region, since there are all opportunities for adult and children's year-round recreation and health improvement, "especially considering the warm weather in the off-season and fairly correct prices for accommodation in hotels and health resorts".
And the development of interest in the Hero-city of Volgograd (former Stalingrad) among Crimeans is stimulated, first of all, by the historical significance of the region, as well as the key cultural and historical sights of the city, such as the Battle of Stalingrad museum-panorama, Mamayev Kurgan with "The Motherland Calls" main sculptural statue.
