This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic. In general, over the entire last year, 6.3 million guests spent their vacations in Crimea. More than half of them (64%) arrived by road, 30% of tourists arrived by plane, 5% by train and the rest of them – across the border with Ukraine.
As the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko noted, the tourism sector of the Republic in 2020 was able not only to work effectively under the pandemic restrictive conditions, but also seized good opportunities for further development and implementation of new substantial projects.
"In the past year, there was not a single serious disruption in the work in the accommodation facilities, which became possible thanks to the professionalism of the tourism sector staff. And in general, 2020 once again showed us how effectively business and government bodies can interact and allowed us to outline the directions for further development taking into account new realities," the Minister emphasized.
