According to the official website of the award these three projects became laureates in the nomination: The best tourist event in the field of culture (for population over 100,000).
The first place was awarded to the Summer Evenings on Karaimskaya Festival, which has been held annually for already 10 years in the Old City district of Eupatoria from July to August. The main street of the Little Jerusalem popular tourist route turns into a real city of craftsmen, where everyone can buy handicrafts, works of artists, photographers, jewelers, and also take part in various master classes and quizzes. Performances of creative teams, costume processions of giants, performances of the Theater of Living Sculpture actors and much more take place there.
The second place was shared by the events in Yalta and Sevastopol. The Chekhov and the Sea project of the Yalta White Dacha museum was first implemented in summer 2020 as a part of the People of the Sea art picnic, which took place on the Massandra Beach. The guests were delighted with a special photo zone, a mobile library by the sea, an individual film show in the style of the early 20th century, an audio performance with the effect of immersion in the vintage life of an old seaside town, and exclusive museum souvenirs as well. This year the Great Sevastopol Charity Officers’ Ball brought together more than 200 officers and civilian couples from all over Russia on the square of the Mikhailovskaya Battery. It was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great WWII Victory and the 180th birthday anniversary of the composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Traditionally, representatives of all the country's navies − the Black Sea, Pacific, Baltic, Northern, and also the Caspian flotilla − gathered on the dance floor. Both modern compositions and classical ballroom dances were performed. And as a part of the ball, the world's only military ballroom parade took place − a festive ceremony of greeting the military and civil society in the style of ballroom dancing.
390 projects from 59 regions of Russia and three projects implemented in Moldova and the United Arab Emirates were nominated in 2020 for the National Russian Event Awards in the field of event tourism.
