Experts of the Skyscanner travel service have compiled a list of the best castles and palaces in Russia, which tourists should definitely visit. Among others there are two landmarks on the South Coast of Crimea.
Thus, analysts have included the Massandra Palace of Alexander III and the Swallow's Nest Castle in Greater Yalta in their list of the most attractive architectural attractions.
We remind that large-scale restoration work of the main calling card of Crimea − the Swallow's Nest − was completed last week.
At the same time, the rating of experts included attractions in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region − these are the Winter Palace, the Grand Palace in Peterhof, the Grand Palace in Gatchina, the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoyeh Selo, the castle in Vyborg.
The list also includes the Tsaritsyno estate and the palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in the Kolomenskoyeh museum and preserve in Moscow, the Waldau castle in the Kaliningrad region, the Sheremetev castle (in Yurino, Republic of Mariy El) and the palace of the emir of Bukhara in Zheleznovodsk in the Stavropol region.
