With a favorable epidemiological situation, a series of New Year's events will begin with the ceremonial opening of the city Christmas tree and festive illumination on the Yalta promenade. On the same day, December 19, a theatrical program for children named New Year's Fussing will take place.
The Grandfather Frost (Russian Santa Claus) Parade, traditional and already so favored by the Crimeans and guests of the peninsula is scheduled for December 26. This will be the eleventh procession of the New Year's wizards on the New Year's Eve in Yalta. In addition on this day concerts of the Podvoryeh folk song theater and cover bands will be performed.
On the main night of the year, the celebrations will begin with the Yalta MaskaRad show program, during which the audience will be offered an interactive show from the presenter, a cryo show, as well as performances of a show ballet and a string quartet. Participants of the city festivities will hear the congratulations of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin over video broadcast.
"We are already starting active preparation for New Year's events. Yalta is in the top of the best places to celebrate the New Year, which means that our task is to do everything possible so that we could compete with other cities", — said Deputy Head of the Yalta Administration Irina Romanets. And she explained that the finalized program will depend on the epidemiological situation in Crimea.
But the two points of the New Year's program will be on under any epidemiological situation, the authorities of Yalta assured. These are the opening of the main New Year’s tree on the city promenade and the decoration of the streets with festive illumination.
"Last year, Yalta residents highly appreciated the way city was decorated for the New Year. I want to assure people that all last year's illumination is safe and preserved, and this year it will again delight the eyes of Yalta residents and guests of the resort", — said Irina Romanets.
