The head of the Ministry of Resorts of Crimea Vadim Volchenko said this at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, the press service of the ministry reports.

So, according to the poll, in which more than 6 thousand people took part, 50% of the respondents are regular guests of the peninsula. 79% of them chose to stay in hotels and health resorts. 42% of vacationers came to the peninsula for beach relaxation, 25% for health improvement, and 19% for cultural tourism (we can remind that since the beginning of the year, Crimean museums have been visited by 2 million guests).

On average, 70% of tourists appreciated acceptable prices for food, accommodation, entertainments and excursion services. 95% of the respondents said that their vacations in Crimea met their expectations, and 23% said that "the vacations exceeded all expectations".

"The acquired data confirms the numerous positive reviews that we receive throughout the season, both through the accommodation outlets and through our online accounts in social networks and the hotline.  It was a difficult period for the industry, and we can already say that we have coped with it, gained invaluable experience and a large reserve for the future with clear prospects, − the head of the Ministry of Resorts is convinced. − Crimea has a traditional high rate of "returns" of tourists with the annual growth of tourist flow as the background.  In the past few years the growth in development indicators has been quite serious thanks to significant efforts of both business and government.  From 2017 to 2019, the tourist flow increased by 38% − up to 7.43 million people".

Vadim Volchenko also emphasized that the guests of the peninsula accepted all the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Consumer Protection Authority) practiced in accommodation facilities: disinfection, mask regime, etc.

Opinion polls were carried out with the involvement of the tourist information center staff at the Simferopol airport and the hot line of the Ministry of Resorts at the railway station. The surveys were also carried out by the administrations of municipalities and accommodation facilities.

Upon collection of the questionnaires, their detailed analysis was carried out and a profile of the tourist was drawn up. This study reveals the level of satisfaction with the recreation, the popularity ratings of the regions of the Republic, assesses the pricing policy, interest in excursions and, in general, the impressions of visiting Crimea.
