"The first thousand of Tavria trains! Today at 23:00 the number 1000 train from Sevastopol will pass under the illuminated arches of the Crimean Bridge. Thanks to the bridge builders any records in traffic are possible for us now. The further − the better”, — the carrier spokesman shared his opinion on his Facebook page.
The rail road connected Crimea with both capitals in December last year. The first train from the mainland of Russia left St. Petersburg on December 23, 2019, crossed the Crimean bridge and arrived on the peninsula on the 25th of December. A day later, the first Tavria train from Moscow was also welcomed in Crimea.
At the moment, Tavria trains connect Simferopol with Moscow, Kislovodsk, Vologda, Yekaterinburg, and they also connect Sevastopol with Moscow and St. Petersburg. The trains also depart from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Pskov to Eupatoria. Year-round trains from Yekaterinburg to Crimea and back follow two routes: via Volgograd and via Kazan. And in August, it is expected that Crimea-bound trains will also go from Adler and Rostov-on-Don.
