It is here, in the Sasyk-Sivash lake near Eupatoria, the rare pink sea salt of Russia is extracted.  It has always been and remains an exclusive product.  In the past times it was served to the emperors and today it stands apart in modern culinary: chefs appreciate it for its excellent colour and taste.  Residents and guests of Crimea will soon be able to see where it is produced and how it differs from simple table salt.  Eupatoria cultural and ethnographic centre "Small Jerusalem" opens a new excursion − to the salt-works.

"Our designer already woks over the tickets so that everyone who wish could buy them in the tourist information centre of Eupatoria.  Documents have already been submitted to the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism," − the tour developer told the Crimean travel portal.  − "We are also discussing with the head of the salt-works a plan of setting up a salt chamber so that tourists could come here not only to take pictures, but also for health improvement."

The salt chamber will allow guests while on excursion to the salt-works to relax in comfortable beach chairs, to inhale the ions that are beneficial for the body.

"We want to make a room with comfortable sunbeds, with plades, with comfortable temperature and with music playing in the room. In general, we will offer the tourist a choice: either to go and take pictures on the pink lake or stay here and combine benefit with pleasure," − the organizers of the tour told the travel portal.

But that is not the whole story. The tour developers initiate creation of the "Crimean Pamukkale" on the salt-works territory, where the white terraces will be not of white limestone, but of the salt.

"We can make our own white "Salt Lake City" here. I believe that for this there is no even need to bring anything – the resource is sufficient.  You can even simply make a bench of salt or organize a photo zone with a 100 tons block of salt.  Taking a picture with such a massive piece of salt is interesting in itself.  So we offer the managers of the salt-works to consider such an opportunity too," − the organizers summed up.

Subjects of the excursions are under development now so that the guests of the salt-works could see just the most interesting.

"An excursion to salt-works is a new and interesting destination in Crimea. Now the Ministry enters the passport of this tour to the register," − the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism emphasized. − "Pink Lake has always been popular with residents and visitors of the peninsula and if there is an opportunity to learn all the details of the salt extraction process, it will attract even more people to the west coast and increase the tourist attractiveness of Eupatoria."
