This is the first tour of the famous Mikhailovsky Theater (St. Petersburg) in Crimea. It will be held as part of the Chersonese Opera and Ballet Festival.
"The best ballet score of the 20th century", as Sergei Prokofiev’s music is usually called, was vividly staged thanks to the international creative team: Spanish choreographer Nacho Duato, Iraqi artist Jaffar Chalabi, costume designer from Serbia Angelina Atlagich.
The title roles in Romeo and Juliet will be performed by leading soloists of the Mikhailovsky Theatre: Anastasia Sóboleva, Valeria Zapásnikova, Viktor Lébedev, Ernest Latýpov. The performances will be accompanied by the Mikhailovsky
Theater Symphony Orchestra. The chief conductor of the Mikhailovsky Theater Alexander Solovyóv will be at the conductor's stand.
Tickets are already available on the official website of the Museum and Preserve. Spectators aged 14 to 22 will be able to visit the event on the Pushkin Card.
