Military parades in honor of the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be held in three cities of Crimea − in Sevastopol, Kerch and in Simferopol. This was reported in the press service of the Southern Military Command.
"Parades will be held on May 9 in the Hero cities of Volgograd, Novorossiysk, Sevastopol, Kerch, as well as in Rostov-on-Don, Vladikavkaz, Stavropol, Kaspiysk, Simferopol and Novocherkassk," the Southern Military Command reported.
About 12 thousand people will take part in the parades − military personnel of the Southern Military Command and representatives of other departments. In addition, more than 300 modern combat vehicles and weapons, military equipment and aviation, as well as the vehicles from the times of the Great Patriotic War, will be exposed.
At the same time, solemn events in honor of Victory Day will be organized in more than 80 cities and towns where formations, military units of the Southern Military Command are deployed.
