The Head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, lifted restrictions on mass events on Victory Day. The corresponding amendments were made today to the Decree of March 17, 2020 No. 63-У "On the introduction of a high readiness for emergency on the territory of the Republic of Crimea."
"The effect of the first part of this subparagraph (on the prohibition of mass events in Crimea — ed.) does not apply to the May 9, 2021 events dedicated to the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," the document says.
We remind you that in honor of Victory Day, over 200 events are planned in the Republic of Crimea, including military parades in Simferopol and Kerch. Full-on celebrations, including the Victory Parade, are also planned in the federal city of Sevastopol.
