"The resorts of Crimea and Krasnodar Territory have become the most popular holiday destinations last September. The resorts of the South of Russia − in Crimea and Krasnodar Territory, as well as Turkey − make the TOP-3 destinations for recreation in the velvet season", — said the experts.

They recalled that since the beginning of the year, the Krasnodar Territory has been visited by 9.5 million people and Crimea − by more than 5 million, Turkey − by more than 1 million Russians. Moreover, the number of tourist arrivals to those regions in the first month of autumn is more than 3 million, more than 1 million and 517 thousand tourists respectively.

The rating was compiled based on the analysis of the arrivals to resort destinations in September 2020.  

As the Head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov said earlier, 5.073 million people recreated in Crimea during 9 months of this year, including 1.11 million tourists in September. Average occupancy of operating accommodation facilities was 70-90%. In October occupancy of hotels and health resorts remains high (up to 80%). Rooms are also actively booked for November and New Year’s holidays.
