This year the gardeners of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden planted 50 thousand chrysanthemums for the ball − small and large-petal, yellow, red, white, pink and other flowers. The "participants" of the event meet their guests in the form of a huge eight-petal flower-bed located in the very center of the exposition. Among them there are samples of chrysanthemums both familiar to the visitors, and "fresh comers". A total of 131 "debutantes" are represented.

472 varieties and hybrid forms of chrysanthemums participate in the 66th ball, both foreign and bred by scientists from the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. The small-petal chrysanthemums prevail at the exhibition – the visitors can see 292 of these varieties.

Today, a real holiday has unfolded in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. An extensive program has been prepared here in honor of the opening of the ball. Of course, with music, dances and poems. And guests will be able to hear the amazing "melody" of crystal wine glasses. And everyone can choose interesting locations for photo shots, and the pictures taken will keep the memory of this wonderful event.
