Specialists of the Tvil.ru holiday reservation service analyzed already paid reservations for the period from December 31, 2019 to January 9, 2020 and found out where the Russians would go on New Year's holidays.
"The first three most popular cities for the New Year’s travel were the Black Sea resorts of Russia − Yalta, Sochi and Sevastopol", — experts informed.
Other destinations in the top ten New Year's holiday rating are Petrozavodsk, the capital of the Republic of Karelia; the small town of Kondopoga on the bank of the Kondopoga Bay of Lake Onega; Suzdal in the Vladimir Oblast; Veliky Ustyug in the Vologda Oblast, where the estate of Russian Died Moroz (ecv. Santa Claus) is located; Odintsovo, Moscow Oblast, and Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan.
According to the analysts, within that period tourists plan trips from 2 to 6.5 nights. And they are ready to spend from 2,000 to 19,000 rubles a day for accommodation. And during the New Year holidays the night will be 2,700 rubles in Yalta, and 3,600 rubles in Sevastopol. The most expensive vacation will be in Suzdal: 19,100 rubles a day.
