Most tourists came to rest through the main transport artery connecting the peninsula with the mainland of Russia – the Crimean bridge.
"The share of tourists who passed on the Crimean bridge to the peninsula by car makes 57%. Since the beginning of 2019 about 760 thousand vehicles, including about 12.6 thousand buses, have arrived over the bridge to Crimea," the press service noted.
Every tenth tourist out of them arrived on the peninsula from Ukraine – 202.7 thousand people.
In five tourist regions of Crimea the total load of working accommodation facilities exceeds the average level in the region. So, in Bakhchisarai district it is 90% on July 1, in Yevpatoria — 84%, Saki — 83%, Alushta — 82%, Leninskiy district — 75%.
"Crimea has entered the active phase of the high holiday season, and now our task is to clearly coordinate the work of all responsible departments and administrations of the resort regions, the organization of safe and comfortable rest of the guests of Crimea", — said the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko.
