"Koktebel Jazz Party" appeared in 2003 as a private initiative of the founder of Koktebel jazz — journalist Dmitry Kiselev. A small Crimean village gave the name to the festival, which today became a recognized place in the list of world jazz festivals. The names of the star participants traditionally kept in secret by the organizers. Over the years, the festival was attended by legendary jazz drummer Jimmy Cobb (USA), Grammy award winner for best album of Latin jazz Gonzalo Rubakalba (Cuba), stars of nu-jazz Club Des Belugas (Germany), unique saxophonist Robert Anchipolovsky (Israel). As one of the guests of Koktebel Jazz Party —2017 was the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Koktebel Jazz Party is not just world-class jazz, it is a real freedom that gives birth to a single vibration of music, sea, body and soul. The organizer of the festival is the "Red Square" media group. "Koktebel Jazz Party" holds with the support of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation since 2014.
