"A list of 29 investment sites for camping activities… has been drawn up for potential investors," Volchenko said.
According to the minister, a car camping site for 500 vehicles is set to be opened in the peninsula's western Chornomors'kyi district by May 1, and similar projects are already being planned in other parts of Crimea as well.
Since Crimea's reunification with Russia in 2014, more and more tourists arrive in the region both from across Russia and from abroad. A total of 6.8 million tourists visited Crimea in 2018, which is a record-high number of visitors that the region has seen since the late 1980s.
