"We expect the arrival of about 15 UK politicians, experts and businesspeople. A delegation from this country will visit the peninsula for the first time since 2014. Earlier, the UK citizens have already visited Crimea, but separately, not as part of the delegation," Aksyonov told the Izvestia newspaper.

Crimea has an enormous potential for investment and the foreign businesspeople understand it and are willing to establish trade relations with the Russian republic, according to the official.

The YIEF is an annual business event and one of the four biggest economic forums held in Russia. In 2019, the event will take place on April 17-20. The next YIEF is expected to bring together participants from over 100 counties. The status of honorary delegations at the forum will be granted to delegations from France and Syria.
