"We will send a delegation to the Yalta economic forum… We will decide on whom to send… There will be European elections now, so there is not much time to go to Yalta, but, in any case, there will be an official delegation from our organization. And I will definitely go to Yalta," Aliot told reporters after a meeting with Andrey Nazarov, the forum's organizing committee co-chairman, at the French parliament.

The politician added that he did not know whether National Rally leader Marine Le Pen would attend the forum.

"I do not know. But I do not think that at the height of the European elections she will be able to go to the forum. But I do not know, we have not discussed this in detail yet," Aliot said.

Earlier in the day, Nazarov said that Le Pen planned to take part in the plenary session of the Yalta International Economic Forum.

The YIEF is an annual business event and one of the four biggest economic forums held in Russia. In 2019, the event will take place on April 17-20. The next YIEF is expected to bring together participants from over 100 counties. The status of honorary delegations at the forum will be assigned to delegations from France and Syria.
